Phi Kappa Psi emphasizes physical fitness as part of a young man’s time in college. The national organization gives an annual William Henry Letterman Men’s Health recognition to the chapter that best excels in these areas. At our DC Alpha chapter, we provide plenty of opportunity for both casual and organized athletics.
Every year, GW’s 14 fraternities compete for the Pikus Cup, the award given to the fraternity who win’s the most intramural sports. The winner is honored at a nationally televised men’s home basketball game.
The Pikus Cup tournament begins in September and lasts for the entire school year. Competition is fierce and Phi Psi has a history of success. Over the 2012-2013 academic year, Phi Psi were crowned Pikus Cup Volleyball Champions and saw a successful season in a number of other sports including:
- Floor Hockey
- Wiffle Ball
- Indoor Soccer
- Flag Football
- Arena Football
- Table Tennis
In addition, Phi Psi participates in many traditional and non-traditional philanthropy sports tournaments hosted by one of GW’s eleven sororities, other fraternities, and other student organizations. In the 2012-2013 academic year, we saw much success such as 2nd place at Kappa Kickball, 2nd place at AEPhi Hoops, 4th place in Alpha Phi Heart Week, and 1st place in the Delta Gamma Anchor Bowl football tournament.
