Scholarship
Scholarship is the most important of all college activities. In fact, academic achievement should be your first duty to your college, your fraternity, and yourself. Clearly, the effectiveness of the education you receive at school is proportional to the amount of work you do. Nothing, least of all the Fraternity, should be permitted to interfere with your studies in any way. It is honorable, proper, and directly in line with Phi Kappa Psi’s high ideals and standards to study hard and to be proud of a good scholastic record. -The Manual of Phi Kappa Psi
Scholarship is of the utmost importance to D.C. Alpha.
The President, Vice President, and Chairman of the Scholarship Committee have oversight over the academic achievement of all brothers. Benchmarks are put in place for the brotherhood at the beginning of each semester and checked up every 5 weeks. Each brother is encouraged to set goals and create a plan to achieve those goals.
Pledges attend study hours twice a week where they are encouraged to spend the time focusing on their academics. The Scholarship Committee Chairman supervises this time of scholastic dedication.
Our extensive test bank is available to both pledges and brothers.
You are at GW to succeed in academics and we are committed to above all creating success in that area.
If you have any questions as to the importance of academics to Phi Psi, please do not hesitate to ask a brother.
Our philosophy is work hard, play hard.
